    Hey Eric!
I can see why it took so long to write that last chapter and why it was difficult.
Are we going to find out what happened to Andy? I'm guessing whatever happened to Andy was what Madame Zastrow told him, back in chapter 49:
“Andrew, yoo can neffer tell to Sean vat I am going to tell to yoo. I tell yoo now so zat ven da time come yoo vill know….” She then proceeded to give Andy some explanation that took only a short time. “Dat iss all vat I haff for yoo, Andrew. You are goot man. I vill not see yoo again. My time iss not lonk for diss vorld. I should haff been gone alreaty, but Gott said I must to stay for little vile yet. Goot bye, Andrew.”
Whatever happened, it pissed Sean off thoroughly.
Who is this "other" guy living at the Alamo? No, it isn't Andy. You would have said so. Fact is, Andy is not mentioned as being there (at this time) at all. All mention of Andy is in past tense - via flashbacks.
Tim reached out and grabbed Sean’s hand. He didn’t let it go. “You got a guy back at home who’s been trying to help you. Who HAS helped you. You know that.”
Then there is the Cabin (mentioned briefly in chapters 40, 41, 44 and 49). Something happened there (I have suspicions), and it revolves around Tim's (unrequited) love for Sean... And Why Tim is bringing Sean back there? Another signal that Andy is dead. Sean would never go there with only Tim, if Andy were still alive.
Scott and I have discussed all of the above (and more)... We can't have been the only ones to notice these things.
Hell! I have more questions than I have answers!

I’m working rather more quickly on chapter 66. Chapter 65 was difficult.

There is always the possibility we're already too far ahead of the Kandric Saga timeline, and Kyle has to catch up first

It isn't just a possibility, we are far ahead. Remember from chapter 21:

The Kandric Saga is just a few behind days behind this in the timeline, while Sand of Times have a few more days of traveling and staying in Junsac.

I'll try to make my chapter overview up to date over the next moon

For some reason, I failed to register to "follow" this story and the comments. Okay, I admit it, I'm a Luddite who believes Ned Ludd was at best an optimist. Sorry not to have read and responded to Jay's comments.
Thank you, Jay, for your thoughts and kind words ... and what becomes encouragement to continue writing.
    My best to you.

Wyatt, I failed to "follow" my own forum, and only recently discovered your earlier messages.
First, thank you for reading and for your thoughts and the questions about time.
In "George of Sedona," the first of the "World" stories, it was established that humans' live span was approximately 500 years, elves about 5,000 years, and trolls... somewhat longer. It was also established that when one was transported to World (through a gate or quantum wormhole, whatever the gates are), the magic of world teaches them language and attached anti-aging genes to their DNA, I neglected to include that in this particular story. My error. Sorry for the confusion.
I should probably not have been so precise about the passage of time. I do have trouble making transitions, and remarking on the passage of decades is a cheap way to doing that. Again, my fault.
I do hope my tardiness in replying to you has not offended you, and I apologize for that, as well.
Thank you again for reading and commenting.

Hi all, I use the name Wizard here and I decided to add myself as other than guest a few weeks ago to reply to someone i found making unjust accusations against writers.  I had to come and defense your authors because it was not fair to attack them that way.

My name is Frank,  I speak and read both french and English.  I'm not a fan of love stories, I'm more into the type of stories like Arthur and Kyle Aarons write,  If other authors are writing the same types of stories here they can manifest themselves to me and I will give them a shot also.
I'm from Montreal, Canada hence knowing both English and French and I work more than I wish or need unfortunately not giving me as much time as i wish to read or even write anymore.
If you want to know more about me just ask.

Perhaps Sorcerers can do that as well as they are the undisputed masters of the forces of magic.
Given that Xavier says the process can result in the creation of malevolent undead, it seems to me Dark Mages and Dark Mystics can do it as well.
They seem to be headed towards Slome (assuming they survive Junsac) so if that ring happen to catch the eye of the Alphar Queen Gambra who is in a bind regarding succession of the House, I am sure there will be much celebration to be had.

Well I do have a question since you are talking about a ritual involving the spirit realm how did the king a sorceror perform the same ritual since he didn't have the access to the spirit world the shaman do or maybe even the spirit warrior?

Furthermore since I reread it the past few days to check, the facts were right there is another heir for house of Welleras and he has the signet for it.  Since Master Lannet is garm he would know of the house of Welleras so if he did cross path with them it is probable he would recognize the signet ring

A shout out for one of my all-time favourite reads: Jack in the Box.
Its the fifth in a pentiad of stories but, you can jump into this: half completed tale, by just reading Sudden Storm first.
Better still read The Quarry first and you'll get a good feel for whether JITB is for you. For me there's nothing out there quite like it for its depth of characters, sense of community, humour, and overall charm.

I have a problem in chapter 30. After the Alphar submit to Aster they are absent from the story line. I can not. believe they would have abandoned him, especially during the city escape and at the ambush. I get the sense the would be willing to lay down their lives for their  prince unless ordered to do other wise.

Also if you say we never heard from them again that is a wrong statement as I clearly remember one of them died trying to keep the portal open
Furthermore, Glaster had to keep a close eye on the others so they wouldn't kill the drow with him so it is a fact that they are still part of the story even if its just a silent role and ended up in the wrong group when both separated after fleeing the city of rolling dale.
Just wanted to correct the wrong assumption of their disappearance of the story as it was false

Thank you for the very kind words.  Have no fear, it is my intention to continue with this story for the time being.  i will let you know that i am leading up to something big, and at the end of that, i will take a small break before i move into the next part.  i already know what i want to do, i just need time to let it all gel in my pea brain.

Thanks again for the nice words, it feels good to hear them.

    Go figure, huh?
I think Gary's stories are among the very best posted anywhere, and 1813 is no exception.  His style is quiet and  seductive, and that may be why people save their praise for the end.  Gary doesn't do cliffhangers to hold an audience, but there's never any doubt when there's more just over the horizon.
With all the recent noise about incomplete stories, Gary might raise his profile by putting 'the end' after each chapter and change the status, to 'Always complete, with more to come.'.  I may try that myself.

Cut is out, Talo!  You and Adam started this by complaining that we don't know how to (or don't bother to) finish our stories to your liking.  That's fine, you can like what you want just like everyone does.
But when you start a new topic you should start a new conversation.  Now you don't like how we begin our stories, and that's a whole 'nother matter. I don't suppose that your technique for selecting stories is much different than  mine or anybody's.  You read some, and if you like it you continue;  If not, you put it down.  If you only like stories that begin with conversation, you'll probably find that you have to discover them by trial and error, which you're already doing.  It still belongs in its own thread, not tagged onto the popular unfinished stories debate.

I have found that unless the story is fast moving, it is better to read them from the beginning.  I tend to read all of my favorites, then start over at the top of the list, chapter 1 and read them all again.   It may suprise you to find out how many stories will update while you are in the process of reading them from the beginniing
