Social events can be very revealing, especially in tight knit groups.  Glen and Peter's sleepover plans might be in for a bit of a sudden left turn... into a wall... at Mach 20!  But there are other implications in the air as well.  And a few twists of uncommon expectation.
Bolt from the Blue - Chapter 4 - Shapes in the Clouds starts us off.

I always learn something from D’Artagnon’s stories. The prize, so far, in “Bolt from the Blue,” is Lichtenbert-Figuren (to use the original German, which I got from a Google search). A simple, if difficult to understand, concept which was incorporated neatly, thus creating verisimilitude and expanding the mystery.
The story begins and continues with whimsical moments, in which anonymous watchers observe, comment, and occasionally intrude. Then, magic happens. We all know Clarke’s Second Law: Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. However, I do not think these Powers are using technology. Their magic is real. And eminently satisfying.
I promised myself I would read no more stories until they were completed. That I read (and re-read) Chapters 1 and 2 of “Bolt” is a tribute to D’artagnion and an expression of my faith in him.

I am really enjoying this story.  I've read the 2 chapters currently available and am impressed with the story itself and the characterization. I suspect that Peter will become a force in his own right; there have been numerous hints.  And you gotta listen closely when tortoises use understatement!
Glenn's physique has apparently shifted.  Instead of being a bruiser of a football guy, it sounds like he might be better built now for swimming or track. If there are only to be three chapters in this story, his high school sporting life will likely not be a factor, but it is good to know he'd still be able to excel at his chosen sport(s).

First off, I apologize for how long it took to get this one out.  It has been a difficult year.  Being homeless has brought new challenges and perspectives to my life.  Changes in my family situation have also made life, well, let's call it interesting.  I have been working on Glen's story for a  while now, trying to make sense of the various medical and scientific aspects I have written into the story.
But be warned, Glen's memories aren't the only thing changed by his contact with the electrical world.  Things in his life that Glen-who-is would never have suspected are about to make their presence felt.  And a few little surprises will enter along the way.
Act three is in the works.  I'm hoping it will take less than 18 months to get it to the finish line.  There are other projects still wanting love as well, so I will do my best.

I don't know how I missed this one. An awesome opening. As usual, your stories just suck you right into it.  The first chapter has nearly 30,000 words. I would have been happier with 30,000 more. Your writing is so easy to slip into and forget the world of reality. You build a solid bubble of fantasy that is not easily broken.
You can feel Peter's loneliness and love as well as his unconditional acceptance. I love Glen's persona and the way he accepts how he was in the past and knows he has to make things right. I think screwl might not be very pleasant in the coming bits. I can see how this will blend in with the other stories.  Peter is the missing one I think. And the fact that he works at the bicycle shop MAY even be how he meets the others. 
I'm saddened to think this will only be three chapters. It's the kind of story you just want to live in for a while. Thanks for this. In a way I'm glad I didn't find this until now. It means I won't have to wait as long as the others for the next chapter. OH! I just realized how I missed it! I was dying in the hospital when it posted. Glad I made it through. I hate dying, there's just no future in it. I look forward to the next chapter.

Yes their horde is not exactly huge.  It does what is needs for them.  But what will they do next.  Time will tell, stay tuned.  Same Bat Time, Same Bat Channel

Personally, I wouldn't call it a huge hoard. If/When you really stop and think of it, in order to survive the destruction of society and much of the technology we are used to having, they now have slightly less than the bare essentials!

Generally, I'm not into Sci-Fi stories, but I really enjoyed the first chapter of Commander, and look forward to reading the rest of the story as it is posted.  Thanks again, Arthur for sharing your work with us!

It is always a great feeling to find something new by Ricky. He has a talent for imagining characters who are struggling to create themselves in a world of conflict, as well as the characters who surround them. In this latest chapter, Ricky presents us with the Queen Regent in a way that conflates her political and social role with that of a mother. He presents advisors—both adult and of the protagonist's age—in ways that are both believable and satisfying. And he wraps all this in a cocoon of the overarching narrative in a way that is eminently believable. (Remember: as fantasy writers, our job is to encourage the reader to suspend disbelief. Ricky is a master.)

Truly an auspicious start to this story, can't wait to see how it develops.  The pacing was fast but truly worked with this type of situational development.  Good character development already, already care about some of them.  Keep up the great work.

wow. when do we get to know what draco has in mind? and when do we learn about the philosophers stone and the 3 headed dog? now we have even at least 2 people more than in the original to solve it.
and also wonder how the visit of chuffery to the quidditch match and hogwarts will be. will he take his new snale friend with him?
wonder if he will become a druid now knowing each of the woods secrets. and if he will be an ambassador of the fairys in the wizard world.
so, please here again, MORE!!!!

I am really loving this alternative to the original story (which I like too). The shake up of the houses and their being able to visit with one another wasn't seen in the original until things went bad and they still didn't reach the extent as you have already.
Ron's reintroduction to Hogwarts was very well done. His ow self-esteem while present in the original was not explored. I like the depths you are showing of your characters.
The last scene with Cherub whispering 'I love you' one more time to Harry almost made me cry with the love and silliness shown.

Just when I was really enjoying this story you have to go and spoil it. I really liked Harry and Draco and Cherub being friends/boyfriends now Harry is going back to the Gryffindors and can't be with them.
Love the addition of Chuffrey.
Surely they can find a way to get together without it affecting Harry leading the Gryffindors.

If you look up Golden beach Victoria you will see the area I'm writing about. Although it exists I see nothing but a ghost town, is that how it really looks to us mere humans? lololol
