We had attempted to make a guide in which order to read but found that it was purely subjective. There really isn't a logical order except I always recommend you start with the Title story Revolutions as that sets the tone and back ground, after that you can bounce around anywhere you want.
As for Bucky and Adam, I am sorry this was done not only to show the impact of war and the harshness of reality, this incident will be used later to push certain characters and challenge their resolve.
We have already received a few tongue lashing and the only thing I can say is this type of event is the hardest for an author to write and we do not enjoy it any more than you enjoy reading it.
 

The wave of orange fire rolled across the sky like the earth itself was burning up. Everyone gasped. We were mesmerized until we heard a distant explosion and a flash of light from the south. Followed by another and rapidly by another. The explosions rippled through the night air, like fireworks on the fourth of July. It was terrifying and beautiful at the same time. We watched as the glow of the nearby towns and cities just disappeared into darkness. We stood there mesmerized as the world plunged into darkness. We were afraid to watch yet couldn't look away at the same time.

66.25KM a day, assuming they switched horses each day to rest the horses that had riders would not even be considered a forced march. Doable is an understatement.  I modern day soldier fully equipped and carry about 50lbs in a pack is expected to do close to 45 KM per day during a forced march. They can keep this pace for three days before becoming  not combat ready. I think the timing on this is very sound

Yes, I totally agree with you Al.  Arthur should be cackling with glee, he so richly deserves ALL of the praise that he gets from everyone who posts here. It shows that his writing is enjoyed by everyone who reads it and the next chapter is eagerly awaited, with all of the twists and turns in the plot that Arthur is going to surprise us all with and that I am surely waiting for. Even though I said before until the last Friday of 2016.

Well it would appear that Thomas is now the"owner" of Marking Shipping Company ! Mr. Percy and the Council have now made sure that Thomas's Army have enough Guns and ammunition for a few battles. I can see in future chapters that this and the French vessels that will surely join the Company, will I am sure make Thomas and his family be reunited in Spain once the Peninsular Campaign draws to a close. The Council will take care and now they are sure that El TORO is back there will be some extremely embarrassed  British Officers at the Ball, I have an inkling that Colonel Grey is well aware that Thomas will be there and will help in the "fun" that the Prince has in mind.
