ken barber Posted March 1, 2017 Report Share Posted March 1, 2017 The wave of orange fire rolled across the sky like the earth itself was burning up. Everyone gasped. We were mesmerized until we heard a distant explosion and a flash of light from the south. Followed by another and rapidly by another. The explosions rippled through the night air, like fireworks on the fourth of July. It was terrifying and beautiful at the same time. We watched as the glow of the nearby towns and cities just disappeared into darkness. We stood there mesmerized as the world plunged into darkness.
