Your question about demon regeneration reminds me of what I might consider as a minor plot hole.
It looks like the ice demon Kandric killed, which was the catalyst for him to level up to Teaching Echelon, was a very powerful minion of Inaxia, who is even feared by Alphar, Garm, and Hawklings. As such, it should have given Kandric a bigger boost than High Secondary to Teaching.
In comparison, slaying Gebbethia propelled Kandric from Teaching to Expert, and then Blathamort boosted him from Expert to Master. And, the dragon kills were spread many ways, with Kandric and his siblings, as well as his knights. In comparison, there didn't seem to be any disturbance felt by anyone when the ice demon died.
Considering that the experience necessary to level up increases exponentially, it is strange that two royal dragons provide way more experience than a supposedly dreaded demon...

Experience is experience. If you kill a dragon, you get a shitload of experience compared to practice. It just happens that dragons transfer quite a bit of knowledge to their killers. For example, Kandric and his knights can all speak draconic now, and I'm sure there is a ton of Mystic knowledge Lorthorn is hiding right now.
Glaster was looking more into the Premier title than the dragon kills when he determines status. I would say Premier might be on the same rank as a king, if not greater.
I can't say if Kandric is now has a higher echelon than Glaster. As of Chapter 30, he is Master Step 5 while Glaster is at least Legendary Step 1. He knows a ton more spells than his master, but Glaster can cast more powerful spells. As of Chapter 31, he's added quite a bit of experience. Is it enough to push him into Legendary? Only Kyle knows right now.
Also, godhood depends on worshippers. As of now, Kandric has no worshippers sending him that nice sweet spritual power.
There are two echelons that were revealed after legendary: High Council and Demigod. Pretty sure only deities can dream of reaching the last echelon.
Caveat: I have no special knowledge. I just like to read and infer a lot.

I actually wished it was longer.
The reason is, Mr. Aarons needs to totally immerse himself into a trance so he can start channeling Kandric, which is why updates are so sporadic. I'd much rather he maximizes the use of that trance and starts to push the title towards its climax
    Also, Book 1?
The 3 latest chapters of Kandric have 176,982 words. It is longer than the first two books of Harry Potter, combined. It is longer than the Prisoner of Azkaban, and the Half Blood Prince. With the exception of East of Eden and War and Peace, it is longer than any of the novels listed on https://indefeasible.wordpress.com/2008/05/03/great-novels-and-word-count/
So, I think we've gone far, far beyond Book 1

    Why yes, I am.
Unless Vondum's job was to play delivery-boy to tell Kandric his darling brothers got kidnapped.
    But only then.
But Vondum as a delivery boy? Hah.
Anyway, Vondum and Glaster have conducted business in the past. Not much fireworks potential there, since earlier chapters show that Glaster didn't mind if someone else were to keep his favorite red-headed half-elf warm at night; he'd even thank the man and pay him for it. Vondum would surely not be so stupid as to say his boss Monarch was responsible for screwing up Wyhrem and his sons...

Nope, you can't fool me. Vondum and Glaster aren't even headed in the same direction.
I'd much rather see how Uncle Vondum reacts to having a skunk-loving nephew.

Keep in mind, dabbler of Magic, I was not the first Great to fall to this Premier, I was the second and thus he had the powers of his first kill within him. I was not simply going against the Premier, I was fighting the Dragon Death Gifting of the Great Green female. So if you want to ask your question, why not ask the Green whore who fell to him first. Me I fell to a Premier! After you do so, go find this Premier and slap him in the face so you can join me down here and I can amuse myslef with your afterlife for a second to two."

Well, considering the title of the tale, here is a list of what I think are the most important beats:
    1. Kandric's impending reunion with Aster, Conner, and Glaster
    2. The Kandric family's impending war with Frexla to save their kidnapped siblings, with exposition on the death gifting they got from Blathamort
    3. Ultimate confrontation with Gardagam and Gambra, and Kandric's ascension to godhood.
Obviously I do not mean to close the tale in the next chapter, but maybe within the next five. But, my suspicion is there are 50 chapters planned in all.
There are, of course, some things that are unresolved that I didn't mention, because they're not completely essential:
    1. At this point, Kandric's grandfather is not a threat to him, no matter how many magical items he took with him.
    2. Conth has impending character development coming up, but he is only peripheral to the larger story. I can't see how he can impact events at all.
    3. Vondum has yet to reunite with Pontarius. But such a meeting would be kind of awkward, I might imagine. Probably will be played for a bit of comedy with the skunk.
    4. The twin princes reuniting is likely an upcoming plot point, but considering we're dealing with deity level threats, Wyrhem's affairs and the war going on between the Premier's forces and Bassork seem inconsequential in comparison.
    5. Bane has yet to meet his siblings, but we've seen so little of him and he was introduced too recently, I just can't find myself overly interested in him.
    6. There's the matter of a passing of the torch of Sorcerer Supreme that is unresolved, but that seems to be a dormant plot point with no follow-up for a long time
    7. I can't find myself caring too much about what happens to Lord Anarton and his students, to be honest. Same thing goes for Gablon and his entourage, and all the missing students in the Slome School.
    8. I'm sure Saslara will make a reappearance at some point, but she's way out of her league in the main conflict.
And, I think those are the major ones. At least, those that I remember. I haven't read the saga since the update last year.

I have resisted making comments here, and not because I thought the Trump candidacy was a farce.  Like so many people in this country, from the entire sweep of our national political spectrum, we have been stunned by the results of the election.  I'm going to say these things here once, then sit back and watch what happens.
First, I am an American.  I want my country to do well.  To this end, even if the next president is not my choice, he's still my president.  If you wanted to protest the things Mr. Trump had to say during the election, you should have done so with your vote.  If you voted third party, you helped Trump win.  If you didn't vote for either as a protest vote, you also helped Trump win.  If you are a Democrat and didn't vote for Hillary, you helped Trump win.  Get Over It!  The outcome has been determined and the election is over.  Barking up trees about something that has happened that you didn't like doesn't change what is going to happen.
Secondly, we have lots of problems in this country.  Actual, physical, financial, policy problems.  Congress has for the longest time obstructed President Obama's policies despite claiming that he needs to "show leadership" which is a buzz word for "take the blame if it fails and honor us if it succeeds."  We all know this.  Now, President-Elect Trump will have "party" allies in the other major instruments of government.  That blocking needs to end.  If they have the voter given mandate from the people, then they need to get off their asses, together, and actually GOVERN for a change instead of sit on their hands and let the country go to pot.
Third, and probably most important is that we need to be vigilant.  A loyal opposition party does not necessarily mean obstruction.  Keep your eyes on all politicians, those you like and those you question.  Keep your eyes on the media, both sides.  Keep your eyes on how our allies and enemies deal with our leadership.  And definitely remember that while you may not agree with the American's on your right or left at Thanksgiving dinner, you are at the same table for a reason.  It is every citizens duty to vote for representatives to our government as well as to hold those representatives to a higher standard.  It is also our duty as citizens to remember that we all want what we think is best for the country.  Half the time, half of us are right.  We should listen, evaluate, discuss and envision how changes in our country will affect all of us, with an open mind and a critical eye.  Reason, Logic, Compassion, and Common Sense should be our guides.  Not just stomping our feet and disagreeing.
By the same token, using governmental power for political effect is a crime tantamount to treason, in my opinion.  Those that use their position to such an end should be treated as criminals and disqualified from public service.  And yes, that applies to those of my prefered party as well as those I oppose on political grounds.
So, while i am not happy about the outcome of the election, in my nightly job I saw all the yard signs.  I had worries that the pollsters had it wrong as well.  But the election is over.  The people have spoken.  And after the holidays, we shall install a new government.  These are facts.   I am optimistic.  Mr. Trump has earned the right to do what he thinks is right for all of us.  I hope he has the wisdom to do so.  We shall see.  But let's be completely honest, the fight to get the job is over, now he has to prove he can do it.  Enough of us thought he could, apparently, so he's got four to prove it.  For the good of the country, I hope he succeeds.  Because we have seen what hoping the president will fail has done to all of us.
And i am watching Congress with as keen an eye as I have on Mr. Trump.  Keep them on your radar as well.
We are all in this together.  He is our president.  These are our governing officials.  We have serious challenges.  It is time to see where this road leads us.

I am of the belief that the fact that Trump's supporters are being called "idiots" means that half of America does not truly understand the other half. Which is possibly due to the fact that they live in echo chambers of their construction (for example, if you prune all of your right-leaning friends from your social network, how can you expect to understand their points of view, or how many of them there really are?).
But admittedly I am pretty stunned by the results, and I'm not even a  American

To be honest, even in well-written stories like the Nexus trilogy, I tend to skim the sex parts really quickly. Because, let's be honest. Sure, the thruster and the thrustee and the circumstances may differ, but there are only so many ways you can describe the mechanical function of thrusting a pole of meat into a meaty receptacle.

I'm not there for the eroticism, I'm there for the action adventure. Of all his stories, Kandric Saga is the most explicit. All the others are rather tame in comparison.

You know, the boom stick which he aimed at his childhood friend who's now a Dark Mystic, and then a hole appeared in the guy's head. That's a gun. It's the item which I think Kyle meant when he said it was foreshadowed many chapters ago.
    Here's a quote.
Pontarious pulled out a strangely shaped stick with a metal tube on top and a curved handle from behind his back. “And while you became a master of making people scream I learned the ways of a true Mystic.”
    “We can’t use wands!”
“No, but had you focused on true mysticism, instead of the Dark Arts, you would know we can learn to make and use a substance called blast powder.” With those words, Pontarious pulled the small metal tab in front of the curved part of the stick. With a deafening boom, and a large amount of smoke, the front of the strange stick seemed to explode. A moment later a huge hole appeared in Tregasel’s forehead while brains, blood and chunks of the man’s skull blasted out from behind his head.
Pontarious shoved the still lightly smoking stick back into his belt, moved up to the dead body and spat on it. He then knelt and removed the very nice and magical orange Mystic cloak. “I always liked the color orange.” Pontarious smirked as he started removing his potions out of his ruined cloak and putting them in empty pouches in the much nicer and heavily magical cloak he had just removed from the dead Dark Mystic.

For the most part, all of his stories involve fantasy and boys. Many of them involve sci-fi (Brile, O'Connor's Grenadiers, Adventure Quest). Geek Squad is alternate history, Day of N is apocalyptic adventure, and Defenders, the only complete series, is Superheroes.
Regarding the gun Pontarius used, I still have no idea whether this was foreshadowed. But then again I don't notice subtle things; you gotta hit me on the head with a clue bat to make me really notice for sure.
