Hey all!
 
I was speaking with someone a while ago, and he told me about how lonely Christmas day was for him. We got to talking, and we realized that for many of us, Christmas is a rather lonely time. It may be that we are thousands of miles away from our family, like I am, or perhaps we do not have a family to call on, and spend the holiday with.
 
I have said it more then once, that, Castle Roland is a family. With that in mind, I came up with the idea of, somehow, spending time with our family here. So here is what we came up with.
 
On Christmas day, starting at noon EST, there will be a special community room opened up for the Castle Roland Family. The link for the room will be released as soon as we have it ready. It will only be opened starting at noon, but it will go until there is no one around. I don't plan on doing anything special, other than allowing anyone that wants to, to come in and chat with whoever else shows up. You can do both text chat, and voice chat.
 
I would like to know what people think of this idea, and if anyone is interested in stopping by on Christmas day.

12 Cups of Eggnog
 
Ingredients
Makes about 12 6 ounce cups
2 quart milk
2 pint heavy cream
24 egg yolks
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/3 cup whiskey
1 1/3 cup brandy
1 1/3 cup Dark spiced rum. (Myers Dark, Captain Morgan)
24 egg whites
2 cups  white sugar
1/4 Tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 Tsp Cinnamon
pinch of nutmeg for garnish
12 cinnamon sticks
 
In a large bowl, blend the milk, cream, egg yolks, vanilla and booze  using a hand mixer until smooth and creamy. In a separate bowl, whip egg whites until soft peaks form. Add Nutmeg and Cinnamon, gradually sprinkle in the sugar while continuing to whip until stiff. Fold the egg whites into the egg yolk mixture, and pour into a punch bowl or large pitcher. Serve in mugs or cups garnished with cinnamon sticks and a sprinkle of nutmeg.
 
Now my advice iss to make this afteeeer you finissssshhhhh all yourrrr otheeer christmasy type shtufs otheeeeeer wis you willlllave a dif dif...Hard timme finishhhhhinggggg.

AB... try to give the 'Original' series another chance... to someone who was not around before 1966 it can [and at times, does] look a tad bit hooky... BUT remember to those of us that DO remember what was availible before 1966 'Star Trek' was ground breaking and the best thing on TV... In its' way it was the '2001: A Space Odyssey' of its day... nothing was ever the same after it aired...
 

Now if you can mention 'Mork from Ork' then I can bring the British BBC's 'Red Dwarf' in to the discussion... Who can forget Dave Lister... Arnold Rimmer his hologram nemisis ... Cat... a lifeform which evolved from the descendants of Lister's pregnant pet cat Frankenstein; Holly... Red Dwarf's computer or Kryten...  a service mechanoid.
 
It had run for Ten [10] Series between 1988 - 2012 on BBC 2
 
OR The many 'Saturday Matinee' Serials from the late 1940's and 1950's like: "Captain Video, Master of the Stratoshere", "Buck Rogers", "Commando Cody: Sky Marshal of the Universe" or my favorite "King of the Rocket Men"
