William King
If this film gets to your country, then you should see it. A tradegy that will not leave you untouched. It will leave you crying. Winner of the Cannes Grand Prix 2017 Nathan is a young man who joins an AIDS activist group (Act Up Paris) in 1990s Paris, where he encounters Sean. As he attends the weekly meetings, he learns that some members prefer a more radical approach to their protests. At the time when AIDS had been killing homosexuals, prostitutes, and intravenous drug users, the militants of Act Up Paris multiplied their actions in a fight against the total indifference of government and society at large. This film does not pull any punches, it's a history lesson that hits home hard. Release date: August 23, 2017.
