Words From the Heart - Not Two Hundred Miles Away.

Recommended Posts

Not Two Hundred Miles Away.

I think of you tonight,
As I sleep alone in my bed.
I think of you tonight,
As I lie in front of the fire,
The room is full of warmth,
My heart, with longing and desire.

Oh I read your letter a thousand times,
I guessed your thoughts, I read your mind.
I only wish I could find,
Your body next to mine,
Not two hundred miles away.

Note: Words From the Heart is a collection of poems I wrote over thirty years ago in 1982 when I was 26.

I recently found them in the back of a cupboard and thought that maybe they should see the light of day.

Why call the collection 'Words From the Heart'? Simply because they were just that, poems I wrote about someone I fell in love with.
