D'Artagnon
Today we learned of the passing of a musical icon. Prince Rodgers Nelson, better known simply as Prince, has passed at age 57. His music was such a huge part of my childhood. His visual artistry as well as his ability to bring together so many divergent musical styles created his own style. He was a performer, a musician who played many instruments and played them well, and one of those people who will qualify in history as not only an artist, but a genius. He was one of a kind. His passing will be deeply felt. Music will never be the same.
ken barber
Not sure how I missed this post from so long ago but as I was working on forum stuff this morning I came across it and it made me pull up my Prince Playlist. Prince was a huge part of my growing up. Not only his art and talent but him as a person. He was cutting edge with his music, style and life, he challenged social norms. He help redefine masculinity, he would not let anyone keep him in a box or label him as anything. The day he passed was an extremely sad day for me.
