Zach Caldwell
This kind of stuff can make you want to hit your head against a wall. Chief Justice Roy Moore of Alabama issued an administrative order telling probate judges they cannot issue or perform marriages for gay people until the State Supreme Court decides the issue. D'Artagnon
He's at it again? I guess the ghost of George Wallace found a host. How gay is that, having a dead politician inside you? Edited January 6, 2016 by D'Artagnon
Rilbur
Apparently he needs to bone up on Constitutional law -- Supreme Court is just that: Supreme. In a legal sense only, there isn't a power on Earth that can override them other than a Constitutional Amendment to the Federal Constitution. State Constitutions are subordinate to the Federal one, and state courts are (shockingly) subordinate to the Supreme Court.
