Wyatt
Lose has lost an 'o', but loose, with its 2nd 'o', still jiggles. There -- a free mnemonic you'll never forget, at least in the title's short form. (We're genetically incapable of forgetting a short mnemonic containing the word "jiggles".) You're welcome. I decided to make this post because I've seen several authors, here and elsewhere, who tend to write "loose" when they mean "lose". It is one of those nasty mistakes because spell checkers can't catch it. Apparently it's easy for human editors to miss as well. So I'm asking y'all to lose your unawareness of this distinction, and don't allow such loose grammar to slip through.
