I had no intention of writing a follow-up, much less a series of them. So now that I've completed the 5th installment of 'Brynnhollow', I find myself back where I started. The story is written and complete (in my mind) and I have nothing else to say... just like when I finished the first one. While I have no intention of writing another one, there's always the possibility that inspiration will strike and I'll be off on another crazy writing frenzy when I least expect it. I hope that in the end, that the story felt like a daydream, a big 'what if' that flies in the face of the mundane day-to-day. Al Norris Posted November 17, 2017 Report Share Posted November 17, 2017 MultiMapper, When you allowed some of us to read "Daydreamer" as you wrote it, I remember saying it was some of your best writing, or words to that effect. After finally having had the time to reread Parvenu, Parvenu 2, and all of the Parvenu 3 chapters, I'm going to have to retract that. I am glad that you decided to continue this story-line. I guess I'm not in a good position to be objective about them. I can't even explain what draws me to write new chapters for one story and not another. I suppose it has to do with inspiration and motivation. Regardless, I'm glad that you're enjoying Parvenu. It's funny how that little one-off Halloween short story has spawned it's own series.
