Al Norris
All I can say, without giving out spoilers, is that if you liked the opening chapter, you will be drooling after the next chapter. Stay tuned!!
Parker
This was an excellent story with exciting action. It drew me in thoroughly. I like your knowledge of military terms and history.

GCdiam
Found the first two chapters on Mr. Nifty and wrote to the author about how much I enjoyed his writing and the story of the main character. He responded and told me about Castle Roland and about chapter 3 being posted. Now I have to wait for the rest.I enjoy reading historical novels and this one appears to be one of the best. Connor
Bloody well done, again. This does indeed seem to follow my suspicions we discussed after the first chapter. Sutton?

Popular Post Arthur
Thank you all for the kind reviews; as of yesterday there have been 13 chapters completed so there is a lot more to come yet and no end in sight. I have been told by He Who Should Be Obeyed that I will probably die of old age before seeing the end of this one as the battle of Waterloo is still far off. Good luck with that. GCdiam
Thursdays just do not come often and fast enough! I am beginning to think that Arthur is as good as Bernard Cornwell in writing historical novels!! Again, great attention to detail and absolutely vivid characters. Lance Corporal
Such a compelling story of a young boy's struggle in the Army in olden times. Very well written with great attention to detail.
